ProWritingAid is a software that corrects grammar, punctuation, mechanics, technique, and style. Initially, ProWritingAid was designed for aspiring novelists. Now, students have access to this same high-level software.

What is Mendeley Reference Manager?

According to Mendeley Reference Manager, Mendeley is a "free web and desktop reference management application. It helps you simplify your reference management workflow so you can focus on achieving your goals" (Mendeley, 2020).

With Mendeley, you can:

  • Store, organize and search all your references from just one library.
  • Seamlessly insert references and bibliographies into your Microsoft® Word documents using Mendeley Cite.
  • Read, highlight and annotate PDFs, and keep all your thoughts across multiple documents in one place.
  • Collaborate with others by sharing references and ideas (Mendeley, 2020).

What is Zotero?

"Zotero (zoh-TARE-oh) is an open-source citation manager (Linux, Mac,& PC) and research tool that you install on your computer.

With Zotero, you can:

  • Create, store and manage citations as well as research sources like PDFs, webpages, and personal notes
  • Create (automatically) and format bibliographies, in-text citations, and footnotes directly in Word, OpenOffice, and Google Docs
